For third party advertisers

Learn about the registration process and responsibilities of third party advertisers under the Municipal Elections Act.

A third party advertisement is any broadcast, print or digital ad that supports or opposes a specific candidate, or a “yes” or “no” answer to a question on the ballot. These types of ads are paid for by a third party group, not the candidates themselves.

Third party advertisers must register with the City in order to advertise during the municipal election.
